Maria Lavinia merupakan penyanyi soprano yang telah menyelesaikan pendidikan vokal klasik-nya di Koninklijk Conservatorium / Royal Conservatoire, Den Haag, Belanda, dengan gelar Bachelor of Music untuk bidang pertunjukan dan edukasi. Di sana ia belajar dibawah bimbingan Gerda van Zelm, Andrew Schoeder, dan Ana Sánchez Donate; serta mendapatkan berbagai masterclass dari beberapa profesor ternama seperti: Rudolf Jansen, Frans Fiselier, Sasja Hunnego, Carolien Drewes, Hanlouis Meijer, Henny Diemer, Cathy Pope, Rob Stallinga, dan Marcel Reijans.
Maria memulai pendidikan musiknya melalui intrumen piano pada usia 5 tahun dan pada usia 13 tahun, ia memulai pendidikan vokalnya. Pencapaiannya dalam bidang vokal sebelum masa pendidikannya di Belanda adalah sebagai peraih nilai tertinggi ujian vokal ABRSM tingkat 4 di Surabaya pada tahun 2008 dan sebagai finalis 4 besar pada kompetisi vokal “Tembang Puitik Ananda Sukarlan 1” pada tahun 2011.
Maria telah tampil di berbagai gedung konser ternama di Belanda dan Indonesia seperti: De Doelen – Rotterdam dan Anton Philipzaal – Den Haag, dan beberapa diantara penampilannya telah disiarkan oleh stasiun radio di Belanda. Penampilannya pada “Prinses Christina Concours 2014” talah meraih hasil yang positif sehingga ia diundang untuk tampil sebagai peserta aktif dalam masterclass oleh pianis pengiring kelas dunia, Rudolf Jansen.
Sebagai seorang pendidik musik dalam bidang vokal, Maria telah mengajar di Belanda sejak tahun 2013. Dan sejak tahun 2016, Maria aktif mengajar vokal di Surabaya, Indonesia.

Maria Lavinia has graduated Bachelor of Music in classical singing performance and education at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague, The Netherlands. There, she worked with Gerda van Zelm, Andrew Schoeder and Ana Sánchez Donate. She has also been coached by Rudolf Jansen, Frans Fiselier, Sasja Hunnego, Carolien Drewes, Hanlouis Meijer, Henny Diemer, Cathy Pope, Rob Stallinga and Marcel Reijans.
Starting her music education by learning piano at the age of 5, she started her voice lessons at the age of 13. Her voice teachers in Indonesia were, among others: Joyce Deborah, Richard Awuy, Fritz B. Simangunsong, Joseph Kristanto Pantioso, and Avip Priatna. During this period, she received The Highest Distinction in ABRSM vocal examination (2008) and became the top 4 finalists in “Tembang Putik Ananda Sukarlan 1” national vocal competition in Surabaya, Indonesia (2011).
As a singer who loves to perform from a young age, she has performed and invited in many concerts both in The Netherlands and Indonesia. She has performed together with Ensemble Royaal, which was conducted by Reinbert de Leeuw, performed “Messe de Pauvres” by Erik Satie (2011) and “Daphnis et Chloe” by Maurice Ravel (2012). These performances were held in major concert halls in the Netherlands, such as: Anton Philipzaal - The Hague and De Doelen - Rotterdam, and it was broadcasted by a Dutch radio station. Between 2012 and 2013, she was invited as a guest performer in “Charity Concert for the Children in Tofoi, West Papua” and “Midsummer Evening Concert” in Surabaya, Indonesia. In 2013, Maria was invited to perform solo pieces in “Kerst Concert met een Indonesische Tint” in Benedictus en Bernadettekerk, Rijswijk which was recorded and broadcasted by Radio Rijswijk on the Christmas Eve and the Christmas Day. One year later, she participated in Dutch music competition “Prinses Christina Concours 2014” in Rotterdam, which was accompanied by Japanese pianist, Maki Tasaka. As a result of the competition, Maria and Maki, together with 3 other musicians (out of 17 candidates) were chosen to join a masterclass by Rudolf Jansen.
Besides studying classical singing as her major subject, she has also done her minor education in her second until fourth year of bachelor (2012-2015) on singing pedagogy, methodology and general didactics, under the guidance of Stephanie Gerricke, Adri de Vugt, Julia Stegeman, Huub de Vriend, Babette Greiner and Adriaan Reinink. As a music educator, Maria has taught piano lessons between 2006 and 2011 and since 2013 until 2015, she has been teaching private and group voice lessons in The Netherlands.
